No, we have not degenerated into using the misogynistic vitriol or slang that has become sadly popular in modern culture. Nor have we slipped into a drug fuelled mid-life crisis of weed misuse and reckless partying.

The headline is factual though and the possible interpretations are more a sad reflection of modern times and language use.

The bitches were quite literally female dogs and the Hash refers to the Jamaica Hash House Harriers, a fun group of intrepid ‘explorers’ that like to go out for a hike every fortnight. Check out JAH3.com if you are on the island and see if you can join in.

Sunday April 23rd, 2017, was the annual Carnival Hash where we get to go for a quick stroll around New Kingston, completing a quiz on the way round. Then relax over a beer or two and watch the road Carnival go by.

Along the way we found our route blocked as the Carnival was passing down the road, so needed to take a little detour. Our dog, Callie, was happy to see her canine friend Moccha, but not as happy as Salman was! Moccha didn’t like the noise of the passing fete and Salman had resigned himself to being stuck on the corner until it had all gone by. Thankfully Callie ‘the fearless’ gave Moccha the incentive she needed to walk on, even when we stopped for a quick photo shoot and show off the logo on our Jamaican Touch vests 🙂
